Following high school, he was appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy, where he earned a B.S. in Aero-Space Engineering, while at the same time achieving NCAA All American status as a champion fencer. After completing a four year assignment as a Naval Aviator, Tony began his civilian career creating engineering designs and managing the construction of several coal preparation and handling facilities in West Virginia and Kentucky. In 1975, Tony was awarded his certificate as a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of West Virginia, later being licensed in the states of Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and Utah.

In 1977, Tony founded PICOR. As President and CEO, he has been actively involved in the design and construction of numerous coal preparation and handling facilities, waste handling facilities, conveyor systems, and truck and railcar loading systems. Tony is widely regarded as the world’s leading expert in the theory, design, and construction of Precision Loading Systems™ and his company has been awarded the only U.S. Trademark for Precision Loading Systems™ related to coal handling. Tony invented the Precision Loading System™ in order to rapidly and accurately load coal or other bulk materials onto railcars and trucks. Tony has been awarded three (3) U.S. Patents and several foreign patents for his Precision Loading System™ designs and has one patent pending for a Bulk Material Reclaim System.

Tony, his wife Donna, and their family of six children and three grandchildren are long-time residents of Johnson City, Tennessee. They also spend a significant amount of time in Australia, India and China, where they are active in the coal and mineral handling business.

Tony and Donna are committed to providing the best, most innovative, and cost- effective bulk material handling facilities possible.
